I have created the page Celluloid Dreams and added it to the site. I had planned to have all of the links working and verified, but I decided at the last moment to include much more detailed information about the rating classifications. This has added significantly to the project workload, but I feel that it is worth it for safety of viewing. And when it is done, it is done. I have not written full reviews as they are available elsewhere, but if there is a demand….
There was an alternate reality where I am a movie director, and Celluloid Dreams is a study that I looked at several years ago when I thought maybe??? But as usual life intervenes and this is as far as I got in that direction. I have a few script ideas so maybe I will post those in a future section. I have started adding some original fiction like hors d’oeurves, so have a read and comment on them. I can definitely draw out some of the flash fiction into short stories. Just comment and I will go with the group consensus.
These ideas are bouncing around in my mind like marbles and I am working to let them out in a sustainable flow. Be patient, greatness takes time. But please check back in regularly as I have heaps of ideas, big and small. I also am going to include a steampunk Victorian ghostbusters serial section. I plan to write a chapter a month. This was a project that I started 8 years ago with a partner as a writing challenge, but he dropped out after the first month (I guess that makes me the undefeated winner of both writing and reading challenges). It is meant to be light-hearted and casual reading which I feel is in the spirit (see what I did there😉) of the original Ghostbusters movie.
There is also a planned series of short stories (less than 5000 words) about Samantha Page, a character based on X-files and the Budget Direct TV commercials. I use internet prompts for an adventure of the month series so any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Who knows, maybe you will end up as a character in one of Sam’s adventures. I have many short story and book ideas to write at this point, but I am purposedly limiting the word counts on this page for a quick ‘read and run’ experience. I will link longer stories later. Until next time, Stay Safe-Be Kind (SSBK)
