Work continues to be a grind. I don’t ever recall being this busy in 20 years of teaching. I have to admit teacher burnout is a real thing. And even though it gets a lot of media attention, the demands just keep growing.
I started this blog as a way of giving voice to the ideas that rattle around in my head and as an outlet of my creative energy. The last month has certainly done a better job of stifling creativity than any outlet could. I have done virtually no creative expression of any kind. I don’t believe that it is writer’s block as I have several outlines that could be just filled in and edited later. But I am just too tired to think. This morning when I prepared my oatmeal, I had a good look in the refrigerator before I remembered that the oats are in the cupboard above. And don’t get me started on the other silly mistakes and oversights I have committed in the last 2 weeks.
But, I am committed to some sort of progress on this blog and that is why today I am putting up the November segment for Galactic Tales. I do appreciate your patience and I apologise for the lack of production, but the show must go on. SSBK
